HOLANGCOURS: legal information

Privacy policy

How HOLANGCOURS collects, uses, keeps, protects and shares the personal data of visitors, prospects, customers, learners and users of its digital services.

Last updated: 4 October 2026.

1.Data controller

The data controller is Jimmy FELIX EI, sole trader, trading under the business name EUDUC.

  • SIREN: 984 787 549
  • SIRET: 984 787 549 00018
  • Business address: 142 rue de Rivoli
    75001 Paris, France
  • E-mail address: infos@euduc.com

HOLANGCOURS is a brand operated by Jimmy FELIX EI. Both names designate the same legal entity.

EUDUC has not appointed a data protection officer. Requests concerning personal data may be sent directly to the address above.

2.Scope

This policy covers processing carried out when you:

  • browse the site holangcours.com or one of its subdomains;
  • create or use an account;
  • buy a course or a service;
  • access teaching content;
  • take the placement test or an assessment;
  • submit work or place a document in your vault;
  • attend a video session;
  • request a learner card or a certificate;
  • contact HOLANGCOURS;
  • subscribe to a communication;
  • exercise a right or make a complaint;
  • use a feature allowing you to withdraw from a contract.

Where access is provided by an educational institution, a company or another organisation operating its own training space, that organisation is the controller for the operations it decides, and HOLANGCOURS acts as its processor. In that case, further information is provided by the organisation concerned or when the access is created.

3.Data collected

Identification and contact data: surname and first name, e-mail address, postal or billing address, telephone number where necessary, country of residence, language of communication, internal account identifier.

Authentication data: the e-mail address used as the identifier, a password kept solely as a secure hash, connection information, session or reset tokens, security events associated with the account. HOLANGCOURS does not keep passwords in clear text.

Order data: the courses ordered, the order number, the date and amount of the transaction, any discounts used, the payment status, billing information, the currency and country of payment, refund or withdrawal requests, technical references provided by the payment provider.

Full bank card data is not recorded on HOLANGCOURS systems. It is collected and processed directly by the secure payment provider. Depending on the means of payment used, HOLANGCOURS may receive limited information such as the payment status, the type of payment method, the last digits of the card, the issuing country or a transaction reference.

Learning data: the courses followed, dates and times of access, progress through the lessons, resources viewed or downloaded, answers given in exercises, dictations and questionnaires, results, scores and attempts, the time spent on certain activities, work submitted and its corrections, documents placed in the vault, sessions booked and attended, certificates issued, exchanges with support or a teacher.

This data serves in particular to supply the course purchased, record progress, correct assessments and, where provided for, issue a certificate.

Learner card photograph: when you request a card, the photograph you provide is processed solely to produce it and to allow a teacher to identify you. It is not used for any other purpose and feeds no recognition system.

Technical and security data: IP address, date and time of connection, device type, operating system, browser and version, pages or features viewed, technical identifiers, error logs, security events, data about connection attempts. This data is used to ensure operation, security, maintenance and the prevention of fraudulent use.

Communication data: your contact details, the subject and content of your request, any attachments provided, the history of exchanges, the information needed to handle the request. You are asked not to send sensitive data or unnecessary documents.

Marketing communication data: your e-mail address, your name where provided, your language, the date and proof of your consent, your communication preferences, information about your subscription or unsubscription.

4.Source of the data

Data is mainly collected:

  • directly from you;
  • from your use of the site and services;
  • from the payment provider to confirm a transaction;
  • from an institution or organisation granting you an access;
  • through cookies and other trackers, under the conditions set out below.

Where data is not obtained directly from you, HOLANGCOURS provides the information required by the rules within the applicable time limits.

Where processing is based on consent, that consent may be withdrawn at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of operations carried out before the withdrawal.

Where processing is based on legitimate interest, HOLANGCOURS ensures that this interest does not disproportionately affect the rights and freedoms of the persons concerned.

6.Mandatory or optional data

Fields marked as mandatory are necessary to create the account, process the order, supply the service or comply with a legal obligation.

Not providing that data may prevent HOLANGCOURS from creating the account, processing the payment, opening access to the course, issuing an invoice or answering the request.

Other information is optional. Its absence does not prevent use of the essential features, except where it is necessary for a service expressly requested, in particular the photograph needed to produce a learner card.

7.Recipients of the data

Data is accessible, within the limits of their duties, to Jimmy FELIX and, where applicable, to teachers and duly authorised persons acting for HOLANGCOURS.

It may also be disclosed to the following categories of recipients:

  • hosting and infrastructure providers;
  • payment providers;
  • e-mail sending providers;
  • audience measurement providers, subject to your choices;
  • support, maintenance or security providers;
  • external video player providers, where a piece of content uses one;
  • legal, accounting or debt recovery professionals where necessary;
  • public authorities or courts where the law requires it.

Data is neither sold nor rented to third parties.

ProviderFunctionMain location
Hostinger International LimitedHosting and technical infrastructureCyprus, European Union
Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd.Card payment, transaction authentication and fraud preventionIreland, European Union (any transfers outside the Union are safeguarded, see article 8)

Where an organisation operates its own training space using the HOLANGCOURS software, its learners' data is partitioned: it is not accessible to other organisations. HOLANGCOURS accesses it for hosting, troubleshooting and security, within the limits of what is necessary.

Some providers may also process certain data under their own responsibility in order to meet their legal obligations, secure payments or prevent fraud. Their own privacy policies apply to that processing.

8.International transfers

HOLANGCOURS favours, where reasonably possible, providers located in the European Economic Area.

Some providers or sub-processors may nevertheless process data from countries outside the European Economic Area.

In that case, transfers are framed by one of the mechanisms provided for by the GDPR, in particular:

  • an adequacy decision of the European Commission;
  • the standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission;
  • the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, where it applies to the recipient concerned;
  • or another safeguard recognised by the rules.

Additional technical, contractual or organisational measures may be applied where necessary.

For more information on the safeguards used for a particular transfer, you may write to infos@euduc.com. Some information may be redacted where its disclosure would harm confidentiality, security or the rights of third parties.

9.Retention periods

HOLANGCOURS keeps data only for as long as is necessary for the purpose pursued, then deletes it or places it in intermediate archiving where retention remains necessary to meet a legal obligation or defend its rights.

At the end of these periods, the data is deleted, anonymised or archived with restricted access.

10.Security

HOLANGCOURS implements technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risks in order to protect data against destruction, loss, alteration, disclosure or unauthorised access.

These measures include in particular:

  • encryption of communications;
  • secure hashing of passwords;
  • access controls and limited permissions;
  • partitioning of spaces operated on behalf of organisations;
  • logging of security events;
  • backups;
  • system updates;
  • mechanisms to detect or prevent fraudulent use;
  • contractual commitments with providers.

No computer system can guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach presenting a risk to individuals, HOLANGCOURS makes the required notifications to the CNIL and, where the rules so require, to the persons concerned.

11.Cookies and other trackers

The site may use:

  • cookies strictly necessary for operation, authentication, the basket, payment and security;
  • preference cookies, in particular the language and currency displayed;
  • audience measurement tools;
  • trackers linked to external content, such as video players;
  • advertising trackers, only if introduced later and after obtaining the required consent.

Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent where they are essential to the service expressly requested by the user.

Non-essential cookies are placed only after obtaining free, specific, informed and unambiguous consent, except where they meet the conditions for a legal exemption.

Refusing is as simple as accepting: the banner presents both choices with the same degree of simplicity. You can change your choices at any time using the "Manage cookies" button at the foot of every page.

12.Marketing communications

Subscribing to an information communication is optional and based on the consent of the person concerned.

Every electronic marketing communication contains a simple, free way to unsubscribe.

Withdrawing consent does not prevent HOLANGCOURS from sending the communications strictly necessary to perform the contract, in particular order confirmations, invoices, security information, session reminders or messages about access to a course.

13.Minors' data

Orders must be placed by an adult with the necessary legal capacity.

Where a minor follows a course purchased or authorised by their legal representative, HOLANGCOURS limits collection to the data needed to supply the service.

HOLANGCOURS does not knowingly seek to collect personal data of children without the required authorisation. The legal representative may contact HOLANGCOURS to request access, rectification or, where the conditions are met, erasure of the minor's data.

A minor's photograph intended for a learner card is processed only with the authorisation of their legal representative.

14.Sensitive data

HOLANGCOURS does not ask users to provide data revealing, in particular, their racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, trade union membership, health, sex life or sexual orientation.

You are asked not to include such information in forms, exercises, written work, uploaded documents or messages, unless there is a clearly identified and framed need.

Learning a language often leads people to write about themselves. Learning work is treated as such and is not used for anything beyond correction and follow-up of the course.

15.Automated decisions

HOLANGCOURS does not take decisions based solely on automated processing producing legal effects or similarly significantly affecting users.

The placement test and automated questionnaire scores may determine a recommended level, success in an internal assessment or the issue of a HOLANGCOURS certificate. They produce no legal effect and do not amount to a decision on admission, employment or the award of a recognised diploma. A level suggested by the test can always be discussed with a teacher.

Payment providers and banks may use their own automated fraud prevention systems. If a payment is refused, the customer may contact their payment institution or HOLANGCOURS for further information.

16.Automated assistance

The site may offer conversational assistance intended to answer common questions about courses, levels and how the service works.

The messages you send there are processed to provide the answer, improve the quality of the assistance and detect abuse. You are asked not to enter sensitive data, passwords or bank details.

This assistance does not replace speaking to a person. You can write to infos@euduc.com at any time.

17.Your rights

Under the conditions laid down by the rules, you have:

  • a right of access to your data;
  • a right of rectification;
  • a right to erasure;
  • a right to restriction of processing;
  • a right to object, in particular to marketing;
  • a right to portability of the data you have provided where processing is based on consent or the contract and is carried out by automated means;
  • the right to withdraw your consent at any time;
  • the right to give directions as to the fate of your data after your death, under the conditions laid down by French law;
  • the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

These rights are not absolute. Some data may be kept despite an erasure request where a legal obligation, or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims, requires it. This is the case in particular for invoices and for the elements allowing the authenticity of a certificate already issued to be verified.

You have an absolute right to object to the use of your data for marketing purposes.

18.Exercising your rights

To exercise a right, you may write to infos@euduc.com, or by post to:

HOLANGCOURS, Jimmy FELIX EI
142 rue de Rivoli
75001 Paris, France

The request should state the right being exercised and allow the account or data concerned to be identified.

Proof of identity is requested only where there is reasonable doubt about the identity of the person making the request. Only the information strictly necessary for that check will be sought.

HOLANGCOURS replies as soon as possible and, in principle, within one month. That period may be extended by two months where the request is complex or where there are many requests. The person is then informed within the initial one-month period.

Exercising rights is free of charge, except for manifestly unfounded or excessive requests under the conditions laid down by the GDPR.

19.Complaint to the CNIL

If, after contacting HOLANGCOURS, you consider that your rights are not being respected, you may lodge a complaint with:

Commission nationale de l'informatique et des libertés (CNIL)
3 place de Fontenoy
TSA 80715
75334 Paris Cedex 07
France

Website: www.cnil.fr

If you reside in another country of the European Economic Area, you may also contact the competent data protection authority of your place of residence.

20.Changes to this policy, and contact

HOLANGCOURS may amend this policy to take account of legal, regulatory, technical or organisational developments. The date of the last update appears at the top of the page.

Where a change substantially affects the way data is used, HOLANGCOURS informs the persons concerned by an appropriate means before it takes effect, where the rules so require.

For any question about this policy or about the processing of personal data: infos@euduc.com.
